Hi, I’m a 20-year-old guy (Presently 22/23)… Sayak Chakraborty... my hobbies include reading (No, not Playboy), writing nonsensical gibberish (bhalo jinish likhi na, ta noy), sometimes kichu scientific invention niye chinta korteo besh lage, and also to discuss matters over political issues, chatting with my friends (khub ekta na), watching movies (Eksomoy "Oita"-o dekhtam)…

Right now I’m based in Chennai for perusing my engineering degree( tai na chaiteo dhosa idli khete hoy). I am a Bangalee, as one might call it… but I somehow like to think of myself as a citizen of the world (Egulo hocche Bhaat! aNtlamo). That way, I’m disdainfully ignoring the virtual boundaries imposed by the so-called world leaders on our great mother earth (Uff Mama, ki dilam!) ! But… I’m proud to be an Indian, too!

I happen to have an opinion on almost each and everything that’s going on in the freaky world, and that is one thing I can’t get rid of (Dhur, mukh bondo rakha onek bhalo)!

I love to play computer games, music, movies and my list of favorites in this page is sure to match at least one of yours, too (Ei "YOU"-ta ke? Narendra Modi ei page-ta visit korle nischoi tar sathe amar kichu match korbe na? Korle Ami Suicide korbo... Metro-te)! If you say Satyajit Ray’s too boring, you must be a fan of Nicolas Cage’s action flicks… I like ‘em both (What about films of 'that-guy-whose-films-u-don't-like'? If you like them, go kill yourself in the Metro now! Don't wait for Modi to show up)! Same goes for Dan Brown and Charles Dickens to dear old Rabindranath!

And what about Killers, Bon Jovi, Il Divo, Shakira (Waka Waka Loca Loca), Rabindrasangeet, Shaan, Himesh (wait, that’s taking it a bit too far now!)… All at the same time… perhaps with the exception of the “Man with the golden nose” (Although I liked “Jhalak Dikhlaja”) How does that sound? (Koto habijabi likhechi re baba!)

I’m studying engineering in St. Peters University , tobe 90% class-e jai na... ekhono bunk mere habijabi likhchi... ekta murgi peyechi, kauke na kauke diye o amar proxy diye dey :P But yes, if I do manage to complete my course, it's thanks to her! :))

Last but not the least--- I am an obsessive dreamer… (na, 'Swapnodosh' nei, biswas korun), and like to look at life as a journey we can make several times more enjoyable by our own heartfelt efforts (Abar aNtlamo!)! I don’t believe in fate, but I also think we need some sort of faith in some higher power and most importantly, in ourselves (kyachkola)! I guess I believe in god, then (seta kori, kintu oi sob tirthokhetre bhogobaan thaken na, etao biswas kori)…
I try my best to live every moment of my life… every single moment… (Dhur, tar theke ghumono bhalo) that’s why I work hard in trying to get over the unpleasant aspects of life as quickly as I can (mithye kotha, amar oi unpleasant jinis-er opor ponder kore depression-e chole jaoa-tai swabhab)… you know: the unavoidable phases of depression and stuff like that!

It’s coz I don’t know how long I’ll get to live my life… and as short as it might turn out to be, I don’t want to waste any of it (Chol, kono Mall-e giye Meye dekhi.. that's 'NOT wasting life")… in that short span of life, you’ve to make way for dreams and ambitions, love, hatred, a burning desire to make a change (Climate Change, mane global warming-e contribution kora chara ar kichhu korte parbo bole mone hoy na...) … no wonder life’s hard, then… is there?
But we know what the mantra is, don’t we… LIVE LIFE ON YOUR OWN TERMS (eta thik, tobe sobsomoy kora jay na... Compromise-er duniya, boss! ;)……………
